Tasmania State Legislation

Tasmania covers both Guide Dogs for the blind and vision impaired and hearing dogs for the deaf and hearing impaired. Dogs in training with the Royal Assocaition of Guide Dogs of Tasmania are also entitled to public access rights. People can be fined for refusing access to such dogs. They can be asked for an identification card at any time and if they fail to produce that card they can be legally refused access.
